Product Terms and Conditions

1. Product description

The Mock Brains Brain Stack ("Product") is a downloadable setup script that automates the deployment of 19 third-party applications on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The Product includes Terraform configurations, Docker Compose files, and installation automation.

What you are purchasing: A license to use the deployment automation scripts. You are NOT purchasing the third-party applications themselves, cloud infrastructure, domain names, or ongoing hosting.

2. License grant

Subject to these terms, Mock Brains grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Download and use the Product for your own deployments
• Receive updates to the Product for 12 months from purchase
• Deploy the Product on infrastructure you control

You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Product
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Use the Product to provide deployment services to third parties

3. Third-party software

The Product deploys third-party applications that are separately licensed by their respective maintainers. These licenses include:

• MIT License
• Apache License 2.0
• GNU Affero General Public License (AGPL-3.0)
• GNU General Public License (GPL-3.0)
• Sustainable Use License (n8n)
• PostgreSQL License

Important:Some licenses include restrictions on commercial use, modification, or distribution. You are responsible for reviewing and complying with each application's license terms. Mock Brains does not grant any rights to the third-party software itself.

Applications are installed from their upstream sources (Docker Hub, GitHub releases, etc.). Mock Brains does not bundle, modify, or redistribute the application code.

4. Cloud billing disclaimer

YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL ORACLE CLOUD, DOMAIN REGISTRATION, AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICE CHARGES.

By purchasing the Product, you acknowledge that:

1. Mock Brains has no control over Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or any other cloud provider's pricing, terms, free allowances, or availability.
2. Oracle's free tier terms may change at any time and may differ by account type and region.
3. Service limits displayed in a cloud console show what you MAY CREATE, not what is guaranteed FREE of charge.
4. Cloud provider documentation may contain conflicting information about free allowances.
5. Mock Brains makes no representation or warranty that any deployment will be free of charge.
6. You are responsible for setting budget alerts and monitoring your billing dashboard.

MOCK BRAINS ACCEPTS NO LIABILITY FOR ANY CLOUD CHARGES, WHETHER EXPECTED OR UNEXPECTED, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PRODUCT.

5. Updates

Your purchase includes access to Product updates for 12 months from the date of purchase. After this period, you may continue to use the version you have downloaded, but access to new versions requires a new purchase or subscription.

6. Refunds

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE PRODUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. MOCK BRAINS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Mock Brains does not warrant that the Product will meet your requirements, operate without interruption, or be error-free. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the Product is with you.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOCK BRAINS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE PRODUCT.

MOCK BRAINS' TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.

9. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. These product-specific terms supplement the general Mock Brains Terms of Service. In case of conflict between these terms and the general terms, these product-specific terms shall prevail for the Brain Stack product.
